St. Joseph Church in Lancaster was established in 1849. The large, beautiful church stands at the head of Saint Joseph Street, in Lancaster's historic "Cabbage Hill" neighborhood, nicknamed for the mostly German community that St. Joseph was established to serve. While the neighborhood has changed, St. Joseph continues to provide charity and guidance to the many parishioners and neighbors who know the church to be a place of stability, generosity, and faithful Catholic discipleship.
