Exciting News: Our parish is participating in this year’s Extraordinary Give!! We are so excited to get to work together as a parish to raise money to preserve the historical integrity of our stained glass windows, and to do so, our goal is to raise $24K in 24Hrs!!!

… that’s right – for 24 hours we have the chance to raise $24,000 that will go towards helping to preserve our beautiful windows. Please CLICK HERE TO WATCH OUR VIDEO that explains more about our Historic windows!

I will be back in touch again this week with more information, but in the mean time, I need to know if you are in – will you help us on November 22 to raise $24K in 24Hrs? There are 5 things you can do RIGHT NOW to help!

1. Reply to this email with your cell phone number so that my team can be in touch. We need to know if you are “in!”
2. Forward this e-mail to 10 friends, asking them if they will support St. Joseph’s on November 22!
3. Recruit 10 people (friends, colleagues, family, fellow parishioners) to give on November 22! Remember, you don’t have to go to St. Joseph’s to support our beautiful parish – you can invite everyone and anyone that you know!
4. Post this video on social media, e-mail it to everyone you know, and help us to spread it far and wide!
5. Print out & distribute this flyer to the places you frequent – help us spread the word!

My Dear Brothers & Sisters in Christ,

It is finally here: Catholic Architecture Video Number 2! I am SO thrilled and grateful to get to share this with you!

As you may remember, my team created a special video for you based off of the transcript of Dr. Paul Thibault’s presentation on Catholic Architecture. Video Number 1 can be viewed HERE.

The Church – the world – needs art. In order to properly communicate the message entrusted to her by Christ, the Church needs art. In a culture where darkness, disorder, confusion is lauded, now more than ever, our world needs the Illumination of Beauty. The Order of Beauty. The Clarity & Truth of Beauty. Artists, like those who painted our parish walls, windows, statues, are always in search of the hidden meaning of things. May we, like them, seek the True Meaning behind the art of our parish… may it bring us ever closer to God as we strive to live as Intentional Disciples.

… After all, it is all about God, is it not?

My Dear Brothers & Sisters,

I am sending you this quick e-mail because I hope to see you tomorrow (Sunday), Monday and Tuesday for 40 Hours Eucharistic Devotions at 7pm! Please, please, please come, bring a friend (or two or three) and join us! This is open to anyone and everyone who is interested in coming! Details BELOW & HERE.

What is 40 Hours Devotions? 40 Hours Devotion can be seen almost like a parish mini-retreat or mission. While the 40 Hours Devotion nurtures the love of the faithful for our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament, three special dimensions have also surrounded this devotion:

1. The protection from evil and temptation;
2. Reparation for our own sins and for the Poor Souls in Purgatory; and
3. Deliverance from political, material, or spiritual calamities. Together as a Parish, we come together to ask our Lord to pour forth His abundant graces not only for our parish, but for our community. Not only for ourselves, but for the whole world.

My Dear Brothers & Sisters in Christ,

My team created a special video for you based off of the transcript of Dr. Paul Thibault’s presentation on Catholic Architecture. You can click HERE or above to watch the video.

This video is ONE in a SERIES OF THREE based on Dr. Thibault’s speech that he gave to our parish during his evening presentation. I will be sending you Video II Next week!

I hope that in watching this video, your soul and heart are stirred to a new, deeper wonder of the mystery of God’s love for you – for us! The point of Catholic art is to stir the soul to beauty by Beauty Himself; to awaken something inside of us that leads us to God. It is all about God, as Dr. Thibault explains in this video.

In His Letter to Artists, St. Pope John Paul, II quotes a Polish poet, Cyprian Norwid, who said, “beauty is to enthuse us for work, and work is to raise us up.” My prayer for each of you is that in watching these videos, you see the beauty of the architecture of our parish and in turn that stirs in your heart a desire to work together, united, to bring others to Jesus Christ in His Church. Let us begin again anew today to bring others to Jesus… Let us begin with beauty!
