The Social Justice Committee is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of the homeless and underprivileged individuals in the Lancaster community. Our mission specially extends to supporting pro-life initiatives through our partnership with A Woman’s Concern.

our key intiatives

One of our primary undertakings involves in the Community Meal program at St. Mary’s Church. Here, we prepare and serve nutritious meals to individuals who may otherwise go hungry. This effort not only provides essential nourishment but also offers a sense of community and support to those in need.

During the Christmas season, we organize a gift collection drive where parishioners contribute items that are then distributed to local charities. This initiative brings joy and relief to many underprivileged families, helping to brighten their holiday season.

In support of A Woman’s Concern, we sell flowers on Mother’s Day. The proceeds from this sale directly benefit the organization, aiding their efforts in supporting women and families in need. Additionally, we partake in the Baby Bottle Blessings Campaign, another way through which we contribute to A Woman’s Concern’s pro-life mission.
