The Sacrament of Marriage

You are here: Home / The Sacrament of Marriage

glass marriageSt. Joseph Church is a beautiful church in which to have a wedding–both for our parishioners, and for Catholics from out of town who want to take advantage of the many beautiful venues available for wedding receptions here in the Lancaster area.

If you would like to look into getting married at St. Joseph Catholic Church, we cordially invite you to contact the parish rectory office.

The common policy for the Diocese of Harrisburg is a nine-to-twelve-month marriage preparation period.

The parties do not have to both be Catholic to be married in a Catholic Church, however, all Catholics must be married through the Catholic Church.

If you have recently become engaged, then CONGRATULATIONS! and we look forward to potentially working with you in preparing for the sacrament of marriage, where man and woman are joined, the two become one, for the whole of life.

Please contact Deacon Pete Jupin at (717) 397-6921 or deaconpete@stjosephslanc.com.
